Groove Shaper Expansion: Desi Beat Essentials for Indian Grooves

The pack centers on traditional Indian percussion. Pitch Innovations lists tabla, mridangam, dholak and ghatam among the instruments the grooves cover, with additional folk grooves beyond those.

These patterns give you a starting point for rhythm parts in Indian-inspired music. Rather than building each pattern note by note, you can load a groove and adapt it to your arrangement.

The developer says the pack is aimed at creating vibrant, iconic Indian-inspired beats quickly.

Pitch Innovations says the pack suits two main directions. The first is Bollywood-style soundtracks, where traditional percussion sets the mood. The second is adding a rhythmic twist to modern genres, where South Asian grooves can sit under electronic or pop production.

The pack assumes you already own Groove Shaper, so it is best suited to producers who use that sequencer or are considering it.
