01Overview

Lofinity is built around algorithms rather than a single lo-fi effect. Each algorithm combines smaller effects, from tape and vinyl simulations to the sound of circuit-bent game consoles. The plugin is organized into six FX categories: Analogue, Digital, Glitch, Texture, Colour and Utility. Its main HIFI / LOFI knob sets the overall amount of the selected algorithm, scaling the depth of its internal parameters together. That makes it usable as a quick one-knob degrader, while the editor offers deeper control for users who want to build their own chains.

Sound Design and Character

Lofinity is designed to make clean material sound worn, colored or deliberately broken. The algorithms cover a wide range of lo-fi sources, so the same plugin can add subtle analog warmth or push a signal into heavy glitch territory.

The main knob is the fastest way to find a starting point. Turning it changes the amount of the selected algorithm across all of its internal parameters at once, which keeps the balance between effects intact as you adjust the intensity.

Workflow, Editing and Utility Controls

Factory algorithms give you ready-made starting points. The randomisation button generates a new algorithm instantly, which is useful when you want an unexpected direction.

In Editor mode you can set two effects per section (Type A and Type B), adjust their Amount and Curve parameters, and change the processing order. Custom algorithms can be saved. A Mix knob blends dry and wet signal for milder results, and Gain In/Out controls and a Limiter help manage level.
