Lo-Fi Character Modes for Sound Design
Lo-Fly Dirt offers seven modes, each with its own processing character. The MSXII mode adds subtle saturation and compression. The MPC60 mode recreates 12-bit saturation with a rounded high end, and the 1200 mode emulates SP1200-style saturation with boosted low-mids.
The 404 (F) mode applies low-pass filtering and a small amount of bit rate reduction. The 404 (V) mode introduces vinyl noise and subtle warmth, with the wet/dry control setting the intensity. The 8-BIT and SK-5 modes deliver harder 8-bit artifacts, with SK-5 adding high-pass filtering and extra punch.
