Instinct offers high quality transistor and tube models that can be adjusted, exchanged and modulated in depth. The developer says the engine can produce results from smooth saturation or mild dynamics processing to aggressive, noisy and wide-range distortion with a rich frequency spectrum.

The signal flow is flexible. You can run one or two drive circuits in series and choose which modules are active, which creates several distinct routing characters. Models and model parameters can be morphed smoothly, so you can move between settings during a mix or sound design session.

SCULPT is a wide-response transient shaper that acts as a modulation source for the plugin. Its controls shape response and character, and it can modulate many circuit parameters for dynamics and distortion shaping. It supports an optional external sidechain.

The VA resonant filters are zero-delay feedback analog-modeled drive and tone filters with internal saturation and self-oscillation. A transparent, high-quality boost filter and high-quality resampling with bandlimited sync interpolation at 4x or 8x oversampling round out the processing chain.
