Sound, Microphones and Moods
The library includes six microphone positions, from close mics to main, mid-field and surround mics, so you can set the balance between intimacy and room ambience. EastWest says the close mics sit closer to the instruments than in earlier recordings, with the aim of a dry, detailed tone.
Three moods shape the character of each instrument. Soft suits detailed, intimate writing, Classic gives a traditional studio orchestral sound, and Epic produces a larger, cinematic sound. The interface color changes to show the active mood.
