Hollywood Fantasy Brass is built around instruments chosen for their fantasy character rather than standard orchestral roles. Wagner tubas stand in for French horns, flugelhorns replace trumpets, and alpenhorns add a mellow, hollow voice. Fantasy Brass Sounds and Character

The core of the instrument is a set of three Wagner tubas, three flugelhorns and three alpenhorns. The developer describes the Wagner tuba as a cross between a French horn and a trombone, with an added quality suited to unexplored worlds. Flugelhorns are presented as a good choice for majestic, mellow themes, fanfares and royal settings. The alpenhorns have a mellow, hollow tone that comes from their wooden construction and straight piping.
