01Overview

HEAVY 2 Upgrade from HEAVY 1 is intended for owners of the earlier HEAVY 1 who want the newer version of UJAM's virtual drummer. Rock and Indie Drum Patterns in Version 2

HEAVY is built around five recorded drum kits and six character presets. The character presets and the custom FX algorithm called Slam let you shape the sound from clean, high-fidelity drums to rougher, overdriven tones.

The library includes 200 presets across 60 musical styles, with 1380 different patterns. Version 2 adds 30 new styles and 150 presets to the existing collection. A new master section with saturation and a maximizer is included for the overall drum bus.

Performance controls let you push or pull against the beat and make the drummer looser or more rigid.

Workflow and Mixing Options

Each element of the drum kit has its own volume control, so you can balance the kit inside the plugin. Multiple audio outputs allow you to route individual drum parts to separate mixer channels for processing.

Phrases can be dragged directly into your DAW, which speeds up arranging. You can also build your own drum kits using the kit editing options.

The interface has been redesigned with a fresh look and is intended to be easy to read.
