Sound Modes and Character

DYNAMO is organized around five mode categories. Remix modes are designed for full tracks and mixes, giving them immediate remixing potential. Solo modes suit basses and other single-voiced sounds. Rhythm modes target drums and percussion, Sustain modes target pads and rhythmically static sounds, and Vocal modes generate vocal chops and glitches from your own vocal tracks.

The developer notes that there is a lot happening inside each mode, so the result of a knob move is not always predictable. That unpredictability is a deliberate part of the design.

Controls and Workflow

Each mode is shaped with three main control layers. The Pattern selector lets you choose a rhythmic pattern from five options. The FINISHER knob controls the many processors inside a preset through a single control. Four VARI knobs adjust musically useful parameters of the current mode, such as modulation rates, EQ characteristics and distortion curves, often several at once.

A tone control and two variable FX controls are also included, so you can adjust the character of a sound without building a chain by hand.
