01Overview

Filterverse is a filter plugin built around a large collection of filter types, ranging from familiar classic designs to more unusual character filters. Its three slots can each hold any filter or effect, and they can be arranged in serial, parallel or combined routing. The plugin also includes a modulation system with eight sources that can be assigned to multiple destinations and cross-modulate one another. Filter Types and Sound Character

Polyverse groups Filterverse's filters from classic and saturating designs to linear, transparent and steep brick-wall types. The lineup includes filters with multi-peak responses and cyberpunk-style comb filters. Many of the filters are self-resonant and add saturation, which the developer presents as part of their character.

The filter algorithms are described as modeled on filter behavior in fine detail. The plugin is also optimized for audio-rate modulation, so fast modulation sources can be used to shape the sound with more aggressive movement.

Routing, Modulation and Workflow

Each of the three filter slots can be loaded with any filter or effect, and filter tabs can be dragged to change their order. The routing tab lets you choose serial, parallel or combined setups. Per-filter panning, phase and Mid/Side controls allow changes to the stereo image.

For modulation, the eight sources include a Meta Knob, sequencer/LFO, ADSR, envelope follower, randomizer, pitch detector, MIDI/CV input and an audio-rate oscillator. Sources can have multiple destinations, and stereo modulation is accessible from the main interface.
