Parallel 10-Band Architecture and Variable Q
Each of the 10 bands follows the octave-based layout, giving a clear mapping between the control and the frequency it affects. Kuassa describes the design as parallel, which means each band is processed in its own path, so adjusting one band is meant to leave the others isolated.
The bands use a variable Q, so you can shape the width of each adjustment. Kuassa states that its proprietary Protean Algorithm aims for smooth curves with minimal phase issues or comb filtering, and that the response stays consistent whether you boost or cut.
