01Overview

Phasing is a modulation effect that sweeps a set of notches through the frequency spectrum, producing the swirling, wobbling character associated with classic electric piano and rock guitar. The EFEKTOR PH3605 Phaser brings that effect into a plugin built around three distinct modulation models. Kuassa presents it as a phaser for guitar, bass, keyboards and vocals, and it can be run as a mono or stereo effect with tempo sync and A/B comparison for quick auditioning of settings.

Three Phasing Models for Different Sounds

The plugin provides three types of phasing. Phase One is a mild effect suited to clean tones, with a less dramatic sweep. Dual Phase is described by Kuassa as warm and thick, and it is meant to work with distorted guitar as well as bass, keyboards and vocals. Multi Phase is the most intense option and goes well beyond a standard wobble.

Switching between models lets you move from subtle movement to a heavy, pronounced sweep without changing plugins in your chain.

Controls for Timing and Stereo Width

BPM sync lets the modulation lock to your project tempo, which helps the sweep sit in time with a groove. Mono or stereo mode lets you choose whether the effect stays centered or spreads across the stereo field.

The A/B compare buttons allow you to store two versions of a setting and switch between them, so you can judge changes against a previous sound while you work.
