UJAM describes BOOST as a way to create transitions without relying on generic risers from a sample folder. The plugin contains 60 multi-effect modes, each with its own loop control, a Flip button and Vari controls tailored to that mode.

In the DAW, BOOST can sync to the grid with phrase lengths of 2, 4 or 8 measures and let you choose which beat reaches maximum intensity. For manual control, the Finisher knob position can be automated in the host. The plugin tracks the playhead position so that effects land on the same bars regardless of where playback starts.

The included library contains more than 200 presets.

Setup, requirements and compatibility

BOOST supports Windows 7 or later and macOS 10.14 or later, and is 64-bit only. The minimum requirements are 8 GB of RAM and 850 MB of disk space, with a 1280x768 display and an internet connection. It runs on 4 GB of RAM, but 8 GB is recommended when running multiple instances in one session.

The VST3 and AAX formats are included, and the plugin is available natively on Apple Silicon. The AU version works only in Logic Pro X and newer. Authorization is done by email address and password for ujam.com inside the plugin. If you move the .blob files to an external drive, UJAM recommends an SSD to prevent dropouts.
