DualClip: Soft and Hard Clipper Limiter Plugin by Plugin Boutique

DualClip pairs two clipping stages. The soft clipper uses a Drive control with tape and tube-style options to add warmth and harmonics. A Curve control focuses its effect on high or low frequencies, and a Smooth control lengthens the clipper's release time for a cleaner sound.

The hard clipper is the more aggressive stage. Its Crush control sets the amount of distortion, and the Breach function preserves transients in the audio. A Soften control smooths the hard clipper's output when you need less harshness.

Three colouring modes, warm, clean and bright, change the flavour of the clippers. Transient emphasis can be applied to the low, mid or high frequencies, and the built-in brick wall limiter keeps the overall level in check at the end of the chain.

The real-time waveform and gain reduction displays let you see how the audio changes as it is clipped. The plugin includes 75 presets as starting points.
