Sound, Swing and Tone Controls

Dope focuses on the sound of classic hip-hop drums. The kits cover kicks, snares and hi-hats in a boom bap style, and the Vinyl Drive control adds a tone character to the output. Micro Timing lets you set the feel of the groove, so you can move the swing toward a looser or tighter pocket.

The patterns are arranged by style, so you can audition a groove quickly and then edit individual hits in the sample grid. Each drum sound can be swapped, previewed and shaped directly inside the plugin.

Workflow and Use in Your DAW

The Intelligent Browser lets you search by mood, genre or BPM and preview kits and loops. The Advanced Mixing Page gives you per-track control over volume, pan, filter, ambience and saturation, with individual output routing.

If you want to build a groove by hand, the custom keyboard layout lets you assign loops and phrases to keys and trigger them in real time. You can also drag MIDI from the plugin into your DAW to edit it or layer it with your own instruments.
