Sound Design With Tone-Colours
Abyss II organises its sound around tone-colours placed on a gradient. You can drop samples onto that gradient to extract their spectral tone-colours, or turn audio files and whole folders into custom palettes. Tracktion says the new BRUTE, VELVET and SYNTIFY controls handle tone-shaping, warmth and aggressiveness.
The modular FX engine offers four free slots with 20 custom-designed effect modules. Abyss II also supports full MPE and adds a mono-synth mode, so it can be played expressively or used as a lead voice.
