CUBE Mini is a compact version of Lunacy's CUBE engine, built around a 3D interface and a vector orbit system. The vector system automatically blends up to eight samplers, so you can morph between sounds and create evolving textures. The plugin ships with 35 multi-sampled instruments, including analogue-style synths, pads, percussion, strings and keys, plus 120 presets. A set of sound design tools rounds out the package, with each sample editor offering an arpeggiator, filters, envelopes and step sequencers.

Sound Sources, Presets and Sound Design Tools

CUBE Mini's library covers 35 sound sources built from multi-sampled instruments. The range includes synth sounds, pads, percussion hits, strings and keys. Lunacy's sound designers created the 120 presets as starting points you can reverse, loop, arpeggiate and tweak.

Each of the eight sample editors includes an arpeggiator, filters, envelopes, step sequencers, reverse, monophonic and glide modes, pan and tuning controls. A randomization button generates new patches in one click when you want an unexpected starting point.

Effects Chain and CPU Management

The plugin includes 13 FX modules: filters, visual EQ, saturation, waveshaping distortion, bitcrusher, compressor, chorus, phaser, delay, algorithmic reverb, convolution reverb and limiter. You can add distortion and reverb to presets or build your own chain.

Eco-Mode is a CPU saving option that reduces RAM usage and processor load, which helps when you run several instances in a session. Expansion packs Air, Threads and Rumble add more content for hybrid winds, experimental strings, and synth bass and percussion.
