Harp and Mallet Sound Sources

The core of Pastels is a multi-sampled harp. The sample set includes staccato plucks, tremolo and glissandi, and delicate harmonics, which give melodic lines a lot of variation in articulation.

The expansion also includes a set of mallet-based sounds, with marimba, vibraphone and steelpan named among them. Lunacy describes these as a fresh take on timeless mallet sounds recorded with world-class percussionists. Together with the harp, they cover both bright, plucked melodies and softer, sustained pads.
