CR-78 Drum Machine: Modeled Analog Drum Machine by Cherry Audio

Every original sound is modeled, and a Voice Edit panel lets you shape each one from mild tweaks to extreme changes. The Effects/Mixer panel adds overdrive, flanger, delay and gated reverb, and each kit instrument can be sent to these effects individually with a one-button mixer send.

A mixer gives each instrument its own level, pan and solo/mute controls. A master compressor and six-band graphic EQ complete the output stage, so you can shape the kit before it reaches your DAW or audio output.

Patterns are built in familiar X0X-style 16- or 24-step programming, with real-time step entry from a trigger button. Pattern and instrument copy-and-paste speed up editing, and a swing setting adds groove. Song Mode chains up to 99 patterns with up to 99 steps per song.

In plugin form, each instrument can be processed separately in your DAW, and sync is accurate. Drag-to-export converts patterns to DAW MIDI tracks, or to Standard MIDI Files when used standalone. External MIDI triggering supports velocity sensitivity and user-assignable note mapping, and all controls can be automated or assigned with MIDI learn.
