01Overview

Voltage Modular Core + Electro Drums brings together the core tools of modular synthesis in one plugin. The Core package covers oscillators, filters, envelope generators, amplifiers, arpeggiators, sequencers and mixers, along with effects, samplers, polyphonic modules and the Super Oscillator, Super LFO and Super Envelope Generator. The Electro Drums package adds classic electronic drum sounds and an eight-channel Drum Trigger Sequencer. Together they include over 600 presets.

Modular Sound Design and Workflow in Voltage Modular

Voltage Modular is built around patching. Unlimited pop-up mults on all inputs and outputs let one signal feed many destinations, and modules or groups of modules can be repositioned freely. Cables can be moved and rerouted at any time, and the control panels include cable signal flow indicators to show how audio and control signals move through a patch.

Audio processing uses 64-bit double-precision math, and module processes are zero-latency and operate on individual samples. Cherry Audio says this supports audio-rate frequency and amplitude modulation, oscillator sync and delay feedback.

Drum Sounds and Sequencing with Electro Drums

The Misfit Audio Electro Drums package contains 15 modules of classic electronic drum and percussion sounds. It also includes an eight-channel Drum Trigger Sequencer with pattern and song modes, so you can build full drum arrangements inside the same modular environment as your synth patches.

The package ships with 94 Electro Drums presets, giving you starting points for beats and percussion before you patch your own.
