CompressorBank Native v7 Upgrade from v6 is a compressor plugin by McDSP, offered as an upgrade for existing v6 owners. It emulates vintage and modern compressor sounds and gives detailed control over dynamic compression.
CompressorBank Native v7 Upgrade from v6 is the upgrade path for owners of McDSP's CompressorBank v6. It is built around three plugins: CB101 for basic compression, CB202 with pre-filtering, and CB303 with pre-filtering plus static and dynamic EQ. Each version is available in mono and stereo, in VST3, VST2, AU and AAX formats, for Windows and macOS.
Beyond the standard threshold and ratio controls, the Knee and BITE controls change the shape and response of the compression curve. McDSP describes the plugin as emulating the sound of vintage and modern compressors.
The plugin includes compression curve modeling, multiple peak detection circuits, and analog saturation modeling. Double precision processing and zero latency algorithms are also part of the design.
CB202 and CB303 add pre-filtering to the compressor's detection path, and side chain support is included with these pre-filtering options. CB303 adds both static and dynamic EQ after compression.
The interfaces have been updated in high definition, and the v7 release includes new presets. Activation uses an iLok2 or iLok3 USB Smart Key, or an iLok License Manager account with iLok Cloud. Each v7 plugin includes two activations per authorization.

CompressorBank Native v7 is available in VST3, VST2, AU and AAX formats. Note that VST support ends with v7.0, and VST versions of v6 plugins will no longer be updated.
The plugin runs on Windows and macOS. On Mac, McDSP lists support for macOS 10.13 and later, 64-bit only, and runs natively on Intel and Apple Silicon. On Windows, it supports Windows 7, 8 and 10 in 64-bit.
You need an existing CompressorBank v6 license to qualify for the upgrade. McDSP plugins require an iLok2 or iLok3 USB Smart Key, or a free iLok License Manager account with iLok Cloud for authorization.
McDSP lists compatibility with Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase, Nuendo, Ableton Live, LUNA, Reaper, Sonar and Studio One, as well as other DAWs that support AAX, AU or VST3.
