Octaver, Tone and Width: Shaping the Fuzz
The new Octaver circuit is the main addition in V2. It can push the sound toward fat sub weight or toward high, screaming tones that cut through a mix. Safari Audio says the Pre-Boost stage hits the front end harder for more aggressive distortion.
Tone and Width give you control over where the distortion sits. Tone shapes the brightness of the fuzz, and Width places it in the stereo image, which helps when you want the grit to sit beside a dry signal rather than on top of it.
Battery emulation adds a worn, unstable character by draining the simulated voltage, which the developer describes as extra-vintage grit.
