01Overview

CHORDS PRO + NOTES Upgrade is built for producers who already own CHORDS PRO and want the newer version without buying the full package again. The plugin sits ahead of any MIDI-triggered instrument, creates looped chord and arpeggio ideas in a circular interface, and lets you drag the resulting MIDI into your project. The upgrade adds a Notes mode for shaping how each chord is played back, along with a larger set of editing and export tools.

Chord and Arp Generation in a Circular Interface

Chord shapes, inversions, velocity, partitions and arpeggio notes are all editable from a single circular interface. You can build ideas manually or click the create button to have the plugin suggest up to 8 chords, from simple 4-note voicings to multi-note arpeggio patterns.

The plugin includes 30 chord types, covering tonic, subdominant and dominant functions, and an AI randomization function that changes one or more chords based on the starting chords of your riff. Playback syncs to your DAW's host tempo.

W. A. Production describes the plugin as originally designed for EDM production, though it can be used across a range of genres.

Notes Mode for Partitioned Playback

The Notes mode is a separate page that works as a note-pattern editor inside the chord playback. Each chord can be split into up to 8 segments, with independent control over each note in each partition. This suits programming piano melodies, plucked arpeggios and gated chord patterns.

Copy and paste controls and repeat functions help you program a single chord and apply that pattern to the others. Global controls adjust inversions, length, speed and root key across the whole sequence, while per-segment controls handle individual chord shapes and velocity.
