Blue Cat's PatchWork Crossgrade from reMIDI 2, 3 or 4: Universal Plugin Patchbay

PatchWork lets you chain up to 8 plugins in series using pre and post slots. For parallel work, you can create up to 8 chains that can be activated independently, with phase flip, solo and gain controls on each chain.

Routing is set in a matrix. Adding or removing a row or column connects plugins, and sub-plugins can exchange MIDI with each other or with the host. Audio can be sent to any channel, and external side chain and multiple outputs are supported.

Latency compensation, a built-in CPU meter and input and output level monitoring help you keep an eye on the signal path.

The plugin includes 30 built-in effects, among them reverb, EQ, filters, pitch and frequency shifters, delays, modulation effects, a compressor, a gate, a bit crusher and a wave shaper. These can be used to add color to your own chains.

Complex setups and window layouts can be saved and recalled with one click, and shared between DAWs. Macro controls and parameter mapping let you automate sub-plugin parameters or connect a control surface.

Developer Blue Cat Audio also lists full MIDI learn, smooth bypass, undo and redo, and a CPU load that drops to near zero when fed silence.
