Routing and parallel processing in PatchWork
PatchWork arranges plug-ins in a rack with a matrix-style routing view. You configure connections by adding or removing rows and columns rather than patching wires. Up to 8 "pre" and 8 "post" slots let you chain plug-ins in series, and up to 8 parallel chains can be activated independently. Each parallel chain offers phase flip, solo and gain controls, and multicore processing support is available for parallel chains.
Audio and MIDI are routed flexibly. Sub-plug-in inputs and outputs can be assigned to any audio channel, external side chains and multiple outputs are supported, and plug-ins can communicate with each other or with the host through MIDI. Pre and post gains can be linked for automatic gain compensation.
