01Overview

BeatQuake is built around a set of four knobs, Tone, Enhance, LoFi and Shape, that each add a distinct tonal character to the signal. A central Quake Magnitude control and four color modes, Shock, Rift, Tremor and Fault, let you push the sound further. The plugin is aimed at producers who want to add weight and grit to kicks, snares and 808s, and it also works on bass, pads and vocals. A trial version is available.

Sound Shaping With Tone, Enhance, LoFi and Shape

Each of the four main controls has its own role. Tone is inspired by Pultec-style EQs and a multiband exciter, and adds warmth and harmonic enhancement. Enhance increases attack and aggression and adds sub-harmonic low end. LoFi adds tonal variation and emulates the texture of 12-bit samplers. Shape adds inflation together with a compressor-style dynamic control, which the developer suggests is useful for 808s and highly dynamic material.

The controls can be used individually or combined to build different tonal blends.

Color Modes and Workflow Controls

The central color selector offers four psychoacoustic pre-filtering modes: Shock, Rift, Tremor and Fault. Shock emphasizes attack while keeping the low end clean. Rift adds grit by stretching sustain and enhancing rumble. Tremor focuses on low-end power, and Fault boosts content above 60Hz for clarity.

The interface is resizable and includes input and output faders, AB comparison, undo and redo, an AGC button for gain compensation, and an onboard limiter. The bypass is click and pop-free, and a preset manager lets you load and save your own settings.
