Frequency-Split Compression for Bass
The plugin divides the signal into a low and a high module, each with its own on/off switch, gain slider and mix ratio dial. Splitting the signal lets the low end be compressed smoothly while the mids and highs keep their dynamics.
The low module offers two compression approaches. The Balance dial sets a compression level with up to -60dB of attenuation, with make-up gain applied automatically. The Flatten dial is a more aggressive compressor, intended for bouncy bass lines or acoustic material with a wide dynamic range.
The high module uses the Balance dial for gentle compression and the Drive dial for grit. At low levels it produces tube-style saturation, and pushed harder it moves into full distortion.
