01Overview

MixBoss is built around a topdown mixing approach, where you shape the overall tone, dynamics and stereo width on the master bus before adjusting individual tracks. Its processing chain brings multiband compression, a Push EQ, a spectral balance control and a mixbus limiter together in one plugin. A parallel Mix control lets you blend processed and clean signal, and a monitoring section lets you check the mix through small speaker, car, phone and mono simulations.

Multiband Compression and Character Modes

The core of MixBoss is a multiband compressor with a Control knob that acts as a dry/wet blend for the compression. Its Enhance knob unlocks three character modes that can be used alone or together.

Color adds saturation, Depth separates front-to-back positioning, and Wide increases stereo width while the developer notes mono compatibility is maintained. The plugin also includes 4X oversampling and a polarity flip.

Monitoring Simulations and Presets

The Monitoring section offers Grotbox, Car, Phone and Mono simulations so you can audition a mix on different playback systems without leaving your session. A/B comparison and undo/redo help you compare settings while tweaking.

Factory presets cover multiple genres, and a resizable, CPU-friendly interface is included. A full PDF manual and video tutorials are also provided.
