The instruments were handcrafted from wood, gut and goat skin using period-accurate methods and recorded in detail. Ancient Greek Strings, Winds and Percussion Samples

The strings include a Barbiton, Cithara, Lyre, Goat Horn Lyre, Pandura, Phorminx and Trigonon. The winds cover single- and double-reed aulos flutes from bass to alto, conch shell horns, a brass salpinx, a pan flute and a plagiaulos. The percussion section features a Crotalum, Kymbalon, Sistrum, two Tympanon sizes and a Tympanon Zill.

The samples are 24-bit / 48 kHz uncompressed PCM WAV files, totaling 22,773 stereo samples and about 15.5 GB once installed.

Controls, Arpeggiator and Convolution FX Rack

Each instrument can be shaped with an LFO offering selectable shape, target, speed, intensity, tempo sync and fade-in time. Twelve lowpass, highpass and FX filters can be assigned to modulation sources such as velocity, mod wheel, expression, aftertouch, key position and a step-sequencer table.

The arpeggiator provides a velocity table and control over direction, timing, swing, randomization and duration, and a key and scale lock keeps notes within common scales. The FX rack holds up to eight of 27 DSP modules in any order, and its convolution reverb includes 99 rooms, halls, chambers and outdoor environments plus 40 custom FX impulses.
