01Overview

Analog Tales is built around four synth modules and one sub layer, sampled from classic and modern instruments including the Alpha Juno, SY77, OBX, Minilogue and PolySix. The layers blend into a single multi-layer engine. Each module offers filters, delays, reverbs, EQs and modulation, so you can design sounds from scratch or start from one of the included presets and adjust them.

Sound Engine and Core Controls

The four synth modules can be mixed together, and the separate sub module adds low-end weight with three sampled flavors taken from a vintage Oberheim synth. Filters are Prophet-type low pass designs, and each module has its own set of effects.

The effect section includes two types of algorithmic reverb, two vintage delays (bucket brigade and tape), two chorus types (ensemble and dimension), two EQ types, and a master limiter and compressors. Tape-style pitch modulation is also included. Eight LFO modulation types cover filter and gain movement. Over 160 controls can all be assigned to MIDI controllers.

Randomizer and Smart Random Options

Analog Tales includes a randomizer with more than 40 setups. It can randomize articulations (Straight, Keys, Pads and Pluck), sound sources, LFOs, effects, and master EQs. Smart Random All applies changes across the whole instrument in one step.

This is useful when you want a starting point without working through every control. You can also leave the randomizer aside and edit parameters manually.
