Ambient Minimalism is built around loops, phrases and one-shots rather than a traditional synth engine. Its 36 patches cover tonal, experimental, melodic and rhythmic material, including guitar effects, pads, piano elements, violin, flute, trumpet and vocal phrases. All patches were recorded in the same key, so sounds from different patches can be combined and still sit together musically. A set of 12 red key-switches lets you change the key of any element on the fly for chord progressions or modulations.

Patch Categories and Sound Palette

The library is organized into four categories: Tonal, Experimental, Melodic and Rhythmic. Tonal patches include ambient bass loops, minimalist guitar loops, ambient pads, piano elements and tonal loops. Experimental patches feature reversed versions of guitar, piano, electric piano and violin material. Melodic and Rhythmic patches contain flute, muted and processed trumpet, violin and vocal phrases.

Key Switching and Workflow in Kontakt
