01Overview

Altitude is built around a pitch-correction engine that works with no latency, which makes it usable for live performance as well as studio work. Formant-aware processing keeps the correction sounding natural even at extreme settings, and the same engine powers up to three harmony voices that follow the lead in the correct key. Beyond correction and harmony, the plugin can turn a voice into a MIDI-playable instrument and apply modulation to pitch, formants, harmony intervals, pan and volume.

Pitch correction and smart harmonies

The pitch engine handles everything from subtle polishing to a hard-tuned effect. Formant-aware processing is designed to keep the result natural, and a punch-in mode lets you correct a single note without touching the rest of the performance.

Up to three harmony voices follow the lead in the right key and can skip dissonant intervals so the chords keep moving musically. Each voice is processed individually. Vibrato, a humanizer and auto-formant correction are optional, and two doubler modes plus a built-in widener help fatten the lead and the harmonies.

Voice as instrument and modulation

The Play module lets you perform and arrange your voice from a MIDI keyboard or play back existing MIDI data from your DAW. Attack and release shape each note, and formant shifting gives tonal control over every note.

Three independent modulators can each target up to eight parameters, including pitch, formants, harmony intervals, pan and volume. Modulators can run at a fixed rate or sync to your DAW tempo. Shapes include sine, saw and square, or you can draw a custom 16-step envelope with optional smoothing.
