6030 Ultimate Compressor HD v7: Ten-Module Compressor Plugin by McDSP Free Download

The plugin includes ten compressor modules. Some are emulations of existing hardware, such as the U670, which is based on the Fairchild 670, and the Moo Tube, an all-tube design. Others are original McDSP designs, including the SST'76, a fast solid-state model that McDSP says suits drums and other percussive sources.

The FRG444, nicknamed 'The Frog', uses a moderately aggressive compression design. The D357 is described as the most aggressive compressor in the collection and uses an LED-style gain reduction meter to show its rapid gain changes.

The iComp module adjusts attack and release times automatically from the threshold and ratio settings, so you control fewer parameters. The Over EZ module offers a smooth knee response with a flexible control set.

The 6030 Ultimate Compressor HD v7 supports sidechain input and includes analog saturation modelling. Its processing uses double precision, and the plugin offers zero latency algorithms. The output stage uses an anti-clip topology, and mono and stereo versions are included. The interfaces have been updated in high definition, and new presets are included.

The plugin supports VST3, AU and AAX formats. Compatible hosts include Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase, Nuendo, Ableton Live, LUNA, Reaper, Sonar, Studio One and other DAWs that support these formats. The developer notes that VST support ended with v7, so VST2 users on older McDSP plugins will need to move to other formats. It also works with the VENUE S6L systems through a separate installer.

For licensing, McDSP requires an iLok2 or iLok3 USB Smart Key, or a free iLok License Manager account with iLok Cloud. Each v7 plugin includes two activations per authorization.
