01Overview

Space Disco is a collection of 69 presets for BA-1, the synthesizer from Baby Audio. The pack is designed for producers who want vintage synth textures in the style of late-1970s disco and electro-influenced 12-inch records. Turbotito, the producer and label owner Filip Nikolic, created the presets. He is also a co-founder of the band Poolside. Because the pack requires BA-1, it works as an add-on for producers who already own that synth.

Vintage Disco Synth Sounds in BA-1

Turbotito's presets aim at the analog synth sound of late-1970s disco, with a nod to the production style of Giorgio Moroder and cult 12-inch singles such as 'I Feel Love'. Filip Nikolic says he draws on his long-standing interest in electro-infused disco and vintage synthesis when designing them.

The 69 presets cover a range of uses, so you can start with a disco bassline, pad or lead and adjust it to fit a track. The pack is meant to give BA-1 users a set of starting points rooted in that era's sound.

Who Space Disco Is For

Space Disco suits producers working in disco, nu-disco, electro and retro-leaning dance music who already use BA-1. Because the pack is made entirely of BA-1 presets, it does not add a new instrument to your setup. It gives an existing synth a library of disco-focused sounds.
