01Overview

Ultimate Ableton Racks Vol1 is aimed at producers who work in Ableton Live 9 and want ready-made racks rather than building sounds from scratch. The collection pulls samples from several Loopmasters libraries and organizes them into drum racks, bass, keys, lead, pad and sound effect racks. Ten audio effect racks are included as well. The developer says the racks cover a broad range of styles, including house, techno, dubstep, drum and bass, trap and reggae. A full Demo Song and a template set are also included to help you start a project.

Racks for Bass, Keys, Leads and Pads

The core of the pack is its set of 101 Live racks. The collection includes 21 bass racks, 20 keys racks, 20 lead synth racks and 21 pad racks, plus five sound effect racks and five flexible drum racks.

Each instrument rack has macro assignments for filter, resonance, effects and tone shaping, so you can adjust a sound from a single set of controls. The developer describes the range as running from deep, bubbling bass to euphoric EDM synths, smooth pads and warm keys and organs.

The drum racks include a selection control that lets you load different sounds into each pad slot using the macro controls.

Sample Content and Ableton Setup

The pack contains 1.22 GB of 24-bit, 44.1 kHz one shot and multi samples, 1,472 files in total. The developer says the samples come from several of its past collections, including releases from CAPSUN, UMEK, Dub & Reggae XL2, Dark Neuro Drum & Bass and Deep & Raw Techno.

The pack requires Ableton Live. The developer specifies Ableton Suite 9.7 or later, and the racks are built for Live 9.

The package also includes the full Ableton set of the Demo Song and a template set to help you get started.
