Neo Soul Chords is a preset expansion for KHORDS, developed by Loopmasters Plugins in collaboration with Tone Kitchn. Its sounds focus on e-pianos, synths and other miscellaneous keys, with intricate chord voicings and a laid-back character. The pack adds 50 new waveforms and 100 presets to the KHORDS factory bank, organized into introduction, pad, stab, key, lead and atmospheric categories. It requires a copy of KHORDS, version 1.0.4 or higher.
Neo Soul Chords centers on e-pianos, synths and other keys. The developer describes the chords as intricate and complex, with experimental production methods throughout.
Lo-fi crackle, reverb, chorus and pitch wobble appear across the presets. Tone Kitchn uses these effects sparingly, aiming to keep key sections sounding deep, wide and natural.
The pack contains 50 new waveforms: 15 major samples, 27 minor samples and 8 root or open samples.
The 100 presets are divided into 6 introduction presets, 26 pad presets, 11 stab presets, 35 key presets, 14 lead presets and 8 atmospheric presets. The sounds are designed to extend the existing KHORDS factory bank rather than replace it.
