Preset Categories and Sound Range

The 100 presets are grouped by function. There are 25 key presets and 22 pad presets, which make up the largest share of the pack. Smaller groups include 12 atmospheric presets, 8 SFX presets, 7 stab presets, 6 bass presets, and 5 each of lead, strum, rhythmic and percussive presets.

The developer describes the sounds as wavy leads, laid-back pads, vintage keys and classic synth tones. The pack is meant to complement the KHORDS factory sounds rather than replace them.

Waveforms and Samples

Dream Keys includes 50 new waveforms, made up of 9 major samples, 21 minor samples and 10 root/open samples. The major and minor split gives you chord voicings in both tonalities, while the root/open samples cover simpler, single-note or open-voiced material.

Because the waveforms are separate from the presets, you can use them as a starting point for your own patches inside KHORDS.
