03In depth

What is inside the Hip Hop Essentials sound library

The kit includes 79 presets with a focus on bass, synths, instruments and 808 hits. These are meant to be loaded into Waveform and tweaked, giving you a starting point for basslines, melodic layers and percussive hits.

The loop content is made up of 84 track loops designed for Waveform's Multi Sampler, Drum Sampler and 4OSC. There are also 4 Drum Sampler kits, so you can build a full drum foundation directly in the host.

Using the MIDI clips and loops for beat making

The package adds 32 MIDI clips, which can serve as instant inspiration when you are stuck at the start of a session. You can drop a clip onto a track, audition it with different presets, and reshape the idea from there.

Because the loops and MIDI clips are matched to Waveform's samplers and synth, the kit works as a self-contained starting point inside one DAW.
