Proxima Bass Annihilation is a preset expansion for Bass Master, developed by Loopmasters Plugins. The pack collects 53 new waveforms and 100 presets, grouped by sound type, including subs, lows, mids, harsh and percussive tones. Loopmasters describes the sounds as dark, crunchy and heavily processed, designed for drum and bass, dubstep and future bass productions. It requires Bass Master 1.1.3 or later to install.
The 53 waveforms are organized into seven groups: 7 high sounds, 14 low sounds, 13 mid sounds, 8 percussive sounds, 5 simple sounds and 6 sub sounds. Loopmasters says the raw samples are crunchy and aggressive, with angry growls, punchy subs, sinister synth tones and chunky percussive textures.
Because the waveforms span high, low, mid and sub ranges, you can build layered basses or pick a single tone for a specific part of the arrangement.
The 100 presets cover a range of styles, including 11 sub presets, 22 low presets, 16 mid presets, 7 harsh presets, 9 smooth presets, 10 modulated presets, 4 percussive presets, 8 rhythmic presets and 13 SFX presets.
The harsh and modulated groups suit aggressive bass lines, while the smooth and sub groups give you rounder, fuller tones. Since the pack runs inside Bass Master, the presets load into the same workflow you already use for that synth.
