The 53 waveforms are grouped into families: 7 distorted tones, 6 FM sounds, 5 noisy sounds, 4 punchy basses, 14 soft pulses and 17 deep subs. Loopmasters describes the samples as driven and crunchy, so the material suits producers who want harmonic grit as a starting point rather than a clean sine-like tone.

Because the waveforms carry a lot of harmonic content, Bass Master's filter section is where most of the shaping happens. Sweeping or closing the filter on these sources is a natural way to move from aggressive to restrained bass.

The 100 presets are organized into groups: 28 swaggy presets, 24 low presets, 23 mid basses, 12 harsh presets, 8 modulated presets and 5 percussive basses. This gives you a quick route to a usable bass, and each preset can be edited further in Bass Master.

The pack is a good fit when you want ready-made starting points for a techno bassline, or when you prefer to build your own patches from the included waveforms.
