AZS Spice Vol.2 for DUNE 2 is a preset expansion bank of 79 sounds for the Synapse Audio DUNE 2 synthesizer. Developed by Resonance Sound, it covers basses, leads, pads and plucks.
AZS Spice Vol.2 is the second soundset in Resonance Sound's series of DUNE 2 presets created by Aiyn Zahev. It targets producers working in trance, electro house, psytrance and ambient music. Resonance Sound says the collection concentrates on the digital textures of DUNE 2 generated through wavetables and FM, and that it is darker and more atmospheric than the first volume.
The bank contains 79 presets organized into basses and bass sequences, leads, pads, and plucks and sequences. The basses and bass sequences make up the largest group with 20 patches, followed by 17 plucks and sequences, 16 pads and 14 leads.
Resonance Sound describes the sound as darker than Spice Vol.1, with more emphasis on atmospheric elements and edgy tones. Several patches respond to note velocity, which gives performers more control over dynamics.
Every preset has a modwheel assignment, so the wheel can be used for expressive control while playing. The pack includes 21 royalty-free MIDI files for building arrangements around the sounds.
An Ableton Live demo project is also included. It arranges the parts as heard in the demo, which makes it a practical reference for seeing how the presets are used within a full track layout.
