AZS Spice Vol.1 is the first release in a new preset series for DUNE 2, created by Aiyn Zahev Sounds and published by Resonance Sound. It is built for producers working in trance, electro house, psytrance and ambient music. The pack includes 70 patches organized into arps, leads, pads, plucks, basses and sequences, along with 36 MIDI files and an Ableton Live demo project that shows the parts arranged as heard in the demo.

Sound Design and Character of the Presets

Resonance Sound says the patches use the analog-modeled envelopes introduced in DUNE 2 version 2.5, along with the synth's effects, modulation matrix and independent unison voice control. The developer describes the results as rich and full in the mix.

The pack covers a wide range of sounds. Leads include supersaw-style patches, pads are dense and wide, basses are designed to be deep and punchy, and there are textured patches alongside plucks and arps. Many presets respond to velocity, which helps with expressive playing.
