Sound Character and Preset Categories

Wave's 70 snapshots are sorted into five groups: 23 pad and synth pad presets, 19 evolving presets, 14 keys, 9 bass and 5 leads. This spread means the pack covers both sustained background textures and more immediate, melodic sounds.

Sound Yeti says the presets draw on 60 separate sample sources, and that the collection explores varying brightness and texture within a consistent synth character. The 80s reference points are the developer's own description of the palette.

Using Wave in Kontakt

Wave is delivered as an expansion for Sound Yeti's Ambition instrument, so Kontakt is the host. Ambition 1.0.1 must be installed before the pack will load.

Because the snapshots are grouped by role, you can start from the category that fits your part, such as a bass or lead, and then audition the evolving and pad presets to build layers around it.
