Revelation Scoring Grand is built for composers and producers who want to mix acoustic piano with synthetic sounds in one instrument. The grand piano foundation uses four microphone perspectives, sub, near, mid and far, so you can shape the balance and room character. Three layer channels add hybrid keys, pads and rhythmic textures, each with its own envelope, EQ and LFO. The instrument loads inside Kontakt and requires the free Kontakt Player.
The piano core is a multi-sampled Steinway Grand Piano (Model O). Four microphone perspectives can be blended to dial in the distance and tone you want, from close and direct to wide and roomy.
Pedal, felt and mechanism release controls add mechanical character to the piano sound. Use them to bring subtle noise and action detail into the performance, or leave them off for a cleaner tone.
Revelation adds three sampled layers above the piano. Each layer has an ADSR envelope, a four band graphic EQ, a delay and a reverb send, and a full LFO with tempo sync, core waveforms and fade in control.
The browser holds 50 sampled sources organized by category, and you can drag single samples into any layer. Muting the grand piano leaves the three layers on their own, which suits pads, textures and lead-style parts.
