Method 1 is a drum instrument from Sound Yeti that runs inside Kontakt and works as a standalone plugin or as a VST, AU or AAX plugin in popular DAWs. It combines a large sound library with a sequencer, per-step accent and effect controls, and MIDI drag and drop into your DAW. Sound Library and Drum Engine

Method 1 includes more than 10,000 sound sources and samples, 225 snapshots and 500 loop templates. Each sound has seven core characters, and the full sample set is about 3GB uncompressed.

The drum engine is built on Kontakt 6, and the package includes the Kontakt 6 Player, so no separate Kontakt purchase is needed. Sound Yeti says the sounds draw on popular drum machines from the 1980s and 1990s.

Sequencing and Per-Step Control

The sequencer has 8 tracks and 32 steps, with full accent control and individual drum accent and global accent per step. Each step has four effects: tune, decay, reverb and delay. Each channel adds seven effects, including accent, flam, pan, filter, resonance, drive, width and velocity.

You can record in real time or step by step, use MIDI learn, copy and paste sequences and lanes, and store 12 pattern banks for each patch or snapshot. Tempo sync follows your DAW, and MIDI can be dragged from the plugin directly into your DAW.
