03In depth

Sound and Character of the Polymoog Vox Humana

The Vox Humana is one of the best-known sounds associated with the Polymoog 280A, and UJAM built this plugin around it. The source sound was recorded from the original instrument by synth expert Alex Ball, so the patch is based on a real hardware reference rather than a loose approximation.

The plugin is organized around the core Vox Humana tone, with sound variations that let you move between related voicings from the same instrument.

Controls, Effects and Workflow

The interface combines sound variations, an envelope and a multi-effects section. The envelope lets you shape how notes start and fade, and the built-in effects add processing without needing separate plugins in your chain.

Presets are included so you can load starting points quickly and adjust them to fit your track.
