Vari-Speed Tremolo: Vintage-Style Tremolo Plugin by Antelope Audio

Antelope Audio presents Vari-Speed Tremolo as a tribute to one of the earliest guitar effects. The plugin keeps the familiar character of tremolo modulation while adding a more detailed control set.

The five-position Wave Selector lets you change the shape of the modulation wave, so the effect can range from smooth to more pronounced. The Vari-Speed knob works alongside the Rate control to vary how the modulator's frequency changes over time, which the developer says adds an element of unpredictability to the effect.

The interface is organized around a few main controls. Rate sets the speed of the modulation, Depth sets the intensity, and Vari-Speed adds further modulation control on top of the basic rate setting. The Wave Selector provides five modulation shapes to choose from.

Because the plugin is listed for performing, recording, and mixing, it can be placed on a guitar or other source during tracking or added later in the mix. The Native Plugin version runs on a Mac or PC without extra hardware, and the Synergy Core Real-Time version runs on compatible Synergy Core devices.
