01Overview

Usynth Core is the all-round title in UJAM's Usynth range, built to cover most synth needs in one instrument. Its sound library spans basses, polysynths, leads and arpeggios, and the developer positions it as a practical starting point for everyday production. Sounds are organized in layers and shaped with a customizable sequencer and a Custom Finisher section that includes 90 presets. The sound design was led by Peter Gorges, whom UJAM describes as an industry veteran with more than four decades of experience.

Sound Design and Core Sound Shaping

Each note can trigger two individual layers, which gives you room to combine sounds within a single preset. The Custom Finisher section adds 90 presets to shape the final character of a sound.

Usynth includes a built-in delay unit with ready-made configurations, so you don't have to set up a dozen parameters yourself. Select a delay preset and adjust Mix and Feedback to fit the part.

Modulation is preset by the sound designer for each synthesizer preset. You can control it with the modulation wheel or controller on your keyboard.

Workflow, Controls and Chord Playing

The sequencer is fully customizable, so you can shape rhythmic patterns directly inside the instrument. This helps when you want to build a part without switching to another tool.

The Global Keyboard Settings include a Chord function that lets you play one-finger chords, where a single key triggers a full chord. Click the Chord label to open a menu of available chord types.

Usynth installs and updates through the UJAM App, which also handles authorization. Once the first Usynth title is installed, the Usynth plugin that hosts all titles is installed with it.
