Damaged Piano Sound and Character
The sounds were captured from inside a piano rather than from its keys alone. Heavyocity sampled the strings, the iron plate and the wood frame, then recorded prepared performances with hammers, rocket rods, coins and picks.
The library includes 238 percussion sources and 36 piano hit sounds. The developer describes the result as suspenseful impacts and mysterious, organic textures that sit outside typical orchestral percussion.
The content is built around the DAMAGE sound design, so the hits and transitions carry the hard-hitting, cinematic edge the series is known for.
