Traditional Ensemble and Evolved String Sounds

The traditional section is a full ensemble of 44 players: 18 violins, 10 violas, 10 cellos and 6 double basses. Articulations include long sustain, tremolo, staccato and pizzicato, with round-robin staccato and pizzicato options available in the full ensemble patches.

The Evolved Content side adds a String Designer and a String Loop Designer. Each uses a three-channel, sound-based browser, with 43 snapshots in the designer and 36 in the loop designer. The 24 full ensemble sources are split across long, tremolo, staccato and pizzicato articulations, each in mix, close, room and hall perspectives.

Processed Sources, Loops and Controls

Beyond the ensemble, the instrument includes 20 processed sources in four groups: atmospheric, dirty and distorted, FX and textures, and synth. These suit cinematic sound design and beds that need more grit or movement.

The 36 straight loops are grouped as ambient, motif and rhythmic, each in low, mid and high registers. The CYCLE page offers granular and rhythmic playback, and the MACRO knob adjusts multiple parameters at once. Snapshots and the intuitive sample browser help you move between sounds quickly.
