Tube-Tech Complete Collection 2 is aimed at owners of the earlier Tube-Tech PE 1C who want the wider set of tools in one package. Softube developed the collection with Tube-Tech, and it covers compression, channel-strip processing and passive tube-style equalization. The bundle combines new and updated processors with legacy versions so that existing projects stay usable after the upgrade.

Compression and Channel Strip Processing

The bundle centers on Tube-Tech's optical compressor line. The CL 1B Mk II includes the legacy CL 1B alongside an updated model, and a Generation Switch moves between the two sounds. The updated Classic Channel Mk II combines both generations of the CL 1B with the PE 1C and ME 1B equalizers.

The new SMC 2B Multiband Compressor is a three-band opto-style compressor for dynamic processing, mix buses and vocal, drum or bass buses. Mid/side processing and side-chain low-cut filters on the CL 1B add control over stereo imaging and the detector signal.

Equalization and Workflow

Equalizers Mk II bring Pultec-style passive tone shaping to drums, synths, vocals, guitars, strings and bass. Softube describes the highs as smooth, the mids as focused and the lows as full.

CL 1B Mk II and Equalizers Mk II can also run inside Console 1 as well as in a standard DAW. Legacy versions of the included processors are present to keep older sessions working.
